Kent Island Day

  • Each year, Kent Island Day commemorates the founding of Kent Island in 1631 with a parade down Main Street, historic exhibits, displays, activities, food, vendors, costumes, activities for kids and crafts. This year Kent Island Day falls on Saturday, May 19. Call (410) 643-3776 for more information or to sign up as a vendor.
  • Everyone enjoyed being outside on a gorgeous day in historic downtown Stevensville for the parade and festival in 2011.
  • "WHO's that?" Staff from the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center showed off a beautiful spotted owl.
  • Vendors of all kinds are invited to participate in the festival. Here Chris Martin Decoys of Church Hill, Maryland displays quality handmade wooden waterfowl and shorebird decoys carved in the Eastern Shore tradition.
